Listings of single-family homes increased 33% in March over February according to REcolorado’s monthly report. That’s a big increase, but it’s typical for listings to increase in the Spring. Inventory was still tight. March inventory was roughly the same as March 2015 inventory. The average sold price of a single-family home in March ($387,547) was 9% higher than in March 2015 ($354,61). Not surprisingly, homes priced below $300,000 are increasingly hard to find. According to Denver Real Estate Watch, there were only 300 single-family homes listed below $300,000 at the end of March, which is 34.2% fewer than in March 2015 and 70.8% fewer than in March 2014.
